Bits and pieces

Oh hello there! Yes, it's me. I've decided to blog again. So without further ado, let us discuss the last few weeks starting with last night's dinner.

Terrible.

I am not a chef by any means but I usually like what I cook and since I was making something I had already made twice before I assumed it would be a no brainer. I was just making spaghetti using squash instead of noodles. Even though I cooked it longer than I usually do the squash was underdone and I hated it. Tyson didn't mind and ate both our helpings, then blamed the "al denteness" on the squash itself.

All you unmarried ladies out there, be sure to find a man who blames your bad cooking on the food.

He offered to take me out to dinner but I declined and made no bake cookies instead.

Of which I ate 6.

2. The weather has finally turned around for us! Unbelievable. After approximately 4,253 days of rain in a row we have been able to introduce Logan to the sun. We went for a geocaching walk today to enjoy it.

I documented it with some more of my stellar photography.
Fail 1
Fail 2
Fail 3

It was fun except that Tyson is allergic to spring. Poor guy. I offered to take a picture of his red puffy eyes after our walk but he declined.

3. Logan has found a new love.

The graham cracker.
I have found a new hate.

The paste created when cracker, saliva, and cheerio dust combine.

4. We were hanging out in the front yard today watching Tyson try and jump the curb on a little scooter. Our neighbors came outside and teased Tyson about setting a bad example for Logan because he wasn't wearing any protective gear. Not two seconds later Tyson biffed it and fell right onto his bum. In front of the neighbors.

5. I love automated phone calls.

Automated lady: You have reached the Maytag Dishwasher Recall Line. Please tell me your phone number.

Me: 360...

(Logan shrieks)

AL: I'm sorry, I did not understand you. Please tell me your phone number.

Me: 360...

Logan: DA DA DA DAAAAAAAAA

Me: Dangit!

AL: I'm sorry, I did not hear you...

  2. The ultimate in bad dinners is when you cook something that turns out crappy and it happens to be the night the missionaries are over for dinner. Glad to see you back!
