My Boys

So I don't think I ever truly understood the expressions "white as a sheet" or "all the blood drained from his face" until Tyson came home last night after his church meetings. After fumbling with the door for a long time outside he finally got it open, staggered into the apartment, and looked at me with his face dead white, lips included. The only color in his face was under his eyes and even that was a sickly purple/grey. Needless to say I was more than a little concerned. As I worked to get him to lay down safely I saw a sticker similar to this on his suit coat.

"Oh babe, did you donate blood?"

"Yes" he groaned

Apparently he started feeling sick on his drive home and by the time he walked up the stairs to our door he had almost completely blacked out. Here he his looking much better, but still a little pale. I'm glad you're okay babe!! ...And that you didn't throw up on me.

In other news we had Adam and Austin over for dinner tonight. They are so fun!

I think Austin needs to grow a few more muscles so he can carry me a little bit better. Hee hee, Sorry Austie!

Adam should be getting his mission call next Wednesday and I'm sure my mom and I will keep you all appraised of his location and any new developments.

Extreme makeover!!... Almost

So... I got a new haircut today. It's actually not that extreme because it's been really long for a really long time and that part didn't change. I'll let the pictures do the talking. A picture is worth thousand words right?

So here is a "before" for ya.

...and another before.

After!

Truth be told this isn't exactly my favorite picture of the ''after" but, oh well. What can ya do?

So... What do you think?

(you can tell me the truth unless it's mean in which case... feel free to lie)

So busy!

This semester is probably the most busy of my life. I am taking 12 classes... not 12 credits. 12 classes. It is nuts!! In this picture I am carrying about 30 lbs of books, a viola, and a trombone (12 classes means you have to carry a minimum of 100 lbs to school everyday). Notice the clock in the background says 9:00. It's actually 8:00 (12 classes means you can't keep up with daylight savings time or whatever the other time is) and I am supposed to be at work at 8:00 (12 classes means you are late to everything). When I went to the school office to add my final class the class-adding lady said
"whoa, you have a lot of classes!"
"Yeah" I said.
"How do you do that?" She asked.
"Uh... I guess I just have to... so... I just... yeah, I don't know." (12 classes means you can't be witty without notice. Too much homework to worry about). 12 classes also means you think there is more time in the day than is actually there, which is why I am blogging instead of getting changed for work, going to class, printing my homework, thawing chicken for dinner, memorizing music, and filling my car with gas.

My Valentine

So once again Tyson is the man.
This Valentine's day he surprised me with tickets to see the ballet!
It was Cinderella in case you didn't guess. So romantic, right!?
In spite of our seats in the nosebleed section we were able to see and hear everything just fine and I loved every moment of it. The truly amazing thing about this (and Tyson does this all the time) was that I only mentioned that I wanted to go to a ballet once last December and he remembered!

But our Valentine's weekend wasn't just all about the ballet. It also included gifts,

Dinner, and Love!

(we made these little blocks in relief society, cute huh?)

Obituary

Today we mourn the loss of a good friend, the straightener. Although the straightener lived a rather short life, its work was well known and of the highest quality. The cause of death is unknown as it was not dropped nor was it thrown in a fit of bad hair day rage, and death has been determined a suicide perhaps due to the increasing length of its owner's hair. The straightener passed away on Feb. 11, 2008 leaving behind a smell of burning rubber that permeated the entire apartment and caused the immediate evacuation of the residents.
Nausea and headaches followed.

The viewing will be held at the northeast dumpster until 8 am tomorrow morning when it shall be interred by the gray dump truck.

Bunco!!

On the first Thursday of every month I get together with a group of girls and we have a fabulous time playing bunco. In case you've never played it's a super easy dice game where you basically try and roll three of a kind (well, sort of) and after every round everyone changes seats. I'm not sure if it's the dice or the candy but after about five minutes the room is filled with 12 women who have reverted to their 13-year-old laughing and screaming selves (this is why we do not invite our husbands).
Another fabulous part of bunco is the PRIZES!! I've won many spectacular things including clocks,

Clocks,

And more clocks!!!

Thus inspiring my recent desire to become a clock collector.

Sisters

We sisters share so many things,

Our clothes, our shoes, our looks.

And our future with it brings,

More sharing, like with books. (see twilight)

We do fun things together,

Like paint each other's toes.

And even in bad weather,

Our love for each other grows.

We find there is no brother,

Who shares this "special" tie.

We learned it from our mother,

Is there any question why?
